Supervisor of Special Services

BES Families,

I am thrilled to join BES as the Supervisor of Special Services! 

I come to Blairstown with 16 years of experience in the Easton Area School District in Easton, PA.  During my time in Easton I served as a School Counselor, Principal, Director of Student Services, and Assistant Superintendent.  Easton is one of the largest school districts in the state of PA, so while I come with a lot of varied experiences, I am most excited to become part of such a tight knit community. 

I am passionate about working with students and families, celebrating and programming for the uniqueness of each child.  Students are at the forefront of each decision I make.  I believe in the premise of public education and am committed to creating opportunities for and maximizing the potential of all students.  Students with disabilities can and should be included within the general education setting to the maximum extent possible.  There are certainly laws that support this concept, but it is also my personal belief.  The quote that I try to live by in my daily work, which is posted in my office, reads “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” 

I look forward to working alongside of such an excellent and dedicated team of teachers, administrators, and support staff as we make a positive impact at BES.
