“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”- Nelson Mandela

Parents, Guardians, Staff and Students,

We are all looking forward to a new and exciting school year for staff and students. Hopefully, this year will be better than the previous years. Our goal is to continue to have high educational expectations for all students. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to enhance student learning and achievement as well as providing a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

I began my administrative career as a vice principal in Hamburg School District before moving to the MacKinnon Middle School in Wharton as their principal. Prior to my administrative journey, I began my educational career as a social studies teacher. I have worked in an array of settings including urban as well suburban districts. Also, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of students from pre-k through high school. I firmly believe one must always have the drive and ambition to better themselves both personally and professionally. I have continued throughout my career to continue my education as I have a doctorate in Irish history from Drew University as well as my doctorate in education from Centenary University. I attended Saint Peter's University for my Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and have my Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Delaware.

As an educational leader, my aim is to create active citizens that consciously interact with the world around them and become a contributing part of society. We want students to be able to think for themselves, engage in discovering global issues, and to develop educated positions on such. I am an advocate of incorporating technology into the classroom to engage our students with rigorous and differentiated lessons that enhance student achievement. My aim is to achieve all district goals at a high level through data analysis and by creating a positive climate and culture.
