Animal Book Report Final Copy Directions
Format for 2nd Book Report: Animal Shape Booklet
*Book Report Due: ________________
1. You will need one sheet of 9X12 construction paper and one sheet of
8 ½ X11 lined paper without rough edges in order to create your Animal Shape Booklet. (You may ask me for paper one time before the Book Report is due.)
2. Have a parent help you draw your animal nice and big on the sheet of construction paper. This drawing will be the actual shape of your entire book report, so it needs to be large enough so it can hold all of the information from the outline page, or #1-5 on the previous page.
3. Cut out your construction paper animal and trace it onto the lined paper. Now, cut out the lined paper animal and check that it fits directly under the construction paper one. You may have to fix some edges to make it look neat.
4. Color your construction paper animal or add details to it to make it look real.
5. Take out the lined sheet of paper that is shaped like your animal. Neatly, write the animal title, author, and the words by, your name. Then, rewrite all of your facts from #2-5 neatly on the remaining lines. You should write them in paragraph form.
*If you write all of your facts before cutting out your animal shape, you may cut off some of your facts when tracing out your animal. So, be sure to follow the steps in the order above.
You will be graded on the following:
Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, Capitalization, Neatness, and Following Directions
You may hand in your Animal Book Report early. However, if it is late, I will deduct 5 points a day.
