Multiple Methods for Basic Skills Practice

Our 3rd grade math program provides numerous methods for basic skills practice and review. These include written and choral fact drills, mental math routines, practice with fact triangles (flash cards of fact families), daily sets of review problems called math boxes, homework (called Homelinks), timed tests, and a wide variety of math games.
At home, you can boost your child’s mathematical
confidence by practicing fact triangles or flashcards with
him/her in a variety of ways such as orally, in writing, or
by practicing on the computer together daily. If you
really study each day for 5-10 minutes, knowledge of
basic facts will come so much easier in school.
