It is with great pleasure that I begin my 6th year at Blairstown Elementary School and my 9th year as an educator. My experience in education has been a wonderful journey, as I’ve worked in both middle school and elementary school settings. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of varying levels and needs. This ranges from special needs students in a home-based program to students at the honors level in the middle school setting. All of my students have a special place in my heart and continue to motivate me to create the best learning experience for all students at Blairstown Elementary School.
As Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, I wear many different hats. However, the basis of my job is to work in collaboration with the staff to make sure we’re doing what’s best for our students. This includes providing staff with professional development, working with teachers to create and develop our curriculum, and researching best practices to implement in the classroom.
In my personal life, I am a wife and a mother to two little girls. My family and I reside in Hampton Township with our two dogs and three cats. I am a lifelong learner and am currently completing my dissertation for my educational doctorate in administration at Seton Hall University. My other degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology, a Masters in Reading, and an Educational Specialist degree in K-12 Administration. Working at Blairstown Elementary School has been an amazing experience, and I look forward to another year with our fantastic staff, students, parents, and community.
